And Eve 🍎

I looked at the blood shed she had left behind and knew there was none left. “Our bodies are meant to create life, not take it.” My eyes leaked.

“They will fail you.” She replied with no hope left “Like they failed him.”

“We share the blame in that too.” I scolded her. “Or did you forget that part?” She walked towards me I could sense the hatred as she carried her sword at her side.

“What I remember is the part where we scream in pain and agony to give them this ungrateful thing called life.”

She began clenching her sword. I swallowed and felt a lump in my throat but began to raise my head up towards her.

“Why?” She stepped closer, ensuring her eyes matched mine. I saw a sword laid next to a dead man, picked it up and grasped it. Her confusion when she realized I had picked it up. “Why destroy everything?” She looked down at my fist clenching the sword “For them?”

I inhaled and said in one breath “Because even when all hope is gone and death is inevitable for them they still fight.” My voice broke with each syllable.

“So they are your favorite too?” The anger in her voice rose with each word. Stressing in a sound I never heard before. It was as if her voice wasn’t her own. “We can give them everything including life and they will still deny us. Deny him.”

“Sister that isn’t true.” I spoke gently. “Not all of them are the same.”

“They are fools.” She calmed her anger long enough to state “and so are you. Her rage began to fill her up again. “We deserve what he gives them.”

“And what is that?!” I screamed.
